Wow, ich hätte fast die Nominierungen der Academy für dieses Jahr verpennt... Doch wenn ich druaf schaue, merke ich, warum ich den Academys keine Aufmerksamkeit mehr schenke: Sie werden von einem Haufen voreingenommener "Kinder" vergeben, die in etwa so objektiv sind, wie die Leute, die die "goldene Himmbere" vergeben. Nur das zweitere ein Spoof-Preis ist und sich dabei ohnehin nicht zu ernst nimmt.
Wirklich, das einzige, was mich so halbwegs positiv überrascht, ist dass Hugh Jackman seine erste Nominierung kassiert hat, wobei es dann auch wieder keine so große Überraschung war... Ansonsten ist es alles in allem ein: Humm.
Weil ich jetzt zu faul bin, die Nominierungen abzutippen linke ich einfach mal auf die offizielle Seite.
Das grausamsten finde ich die Tatsache, dass die Academy bei den Animationsfilmen mal wieder zeigt, wie voreingenommen sie ist. Rise of the Guardians, der mit abstand beste Animationsfilm, den ich bisher gesehen habe, ist nicht nominiert. Dafür aber Wreck-It Ralph, der allenfalls okay war. Sicher, besser, als die letzten Filme, die der Verein so gemacht hat, aber selbst Madagascar 3 war ein besserer Film. Aber die Academy mag Dreamworks nicht und hat dafür eine enge Liebesbeziehung mit Disney. Weshalb gleich drei Disneyfilme nominiert sind. Ich mein, ernsthaft, ich sag nichts gegen ParaNorman und Pirates (okay, die Nominierung hat mich auch überrascht, weil der Film bei vielen Awards übergangen wurde)... Nun hoffe ich nur, dass einer der beiden Filme gewinnt. Denn ernsthaft Brave war ja ganz okay, aber das einzige, was wirklich "gut" war, war das Rendering der Hintergründe...
Ansonsten sehen wir das übliche Academy-Phänomen: Alles was ein zu großes Budget hatte, was sich nicht selbst bitterernst genommen hat und keine seltsamen moralischen Botschaften versteckt hat, wird größtenteils ignoriert. Es muss schon irgendwo zumindest etwas nach Arthouse riechen, um nominiert zu werden.
Um Hugh Jackmans Eröffnungsnummer von den Awards 2008 mal zu zitieren: "How is it that Comicbook Movies never get nominated? How can over one billion dollars be unsophisticated?" ("Wieso werden Comicverfilmungen nie nominiert? Wie können über eine Milliarde Dollar primitiv sein?)
Ansonsten sind die anderen Nominierungen dieses Jahr auch schon draußen (die Academy sind wie immer die letzten)

Bei den Razzies fällt mal wieder das alljährliches Bashing von Twilight und Adam Sandler auf, wobei ich dieses Jahr tatsächlich sagen muss, dass es bei Twilight nicht mal so verdient ist. Denn ernsthaft: Ich habe dieses Jahr bei weitem schlechtere Filme als Breaking Dawn Part 2 gesehen (und bei weitem schlechtere Supporting Actor als Taylor Lautner...)
Aber gut, das war ohnehin vorprogrammiert und Razzies sind am Ende ein People's Choice Award. (Meine Stimme für schlechtester Film geht übrigens an Battleship... Weil allein die Idee...)
Na ja, alles in allem derselbe Scheiß wie jedes Jahr.
