Hi guys! Admin of PCP and co-organizer of the SuperNova Blast here. Happy to see the word of mouth already brought the tournament to your attention.
First of all, I'd like to excuse for you having to read me in English. Despite my Schwarzwalder surname, I don't speak German. Hope that's fine.
Back to event talk, we do realize making a one-day international event one month short of the biggest European tournament sounds a bit awkward. We had this planned from and for long time before, but the assembly line at TPCi took a lot longer than we could possibly assume, so we had to push it back and lower a little bit our “expectations”.
Nonetheless, the aim of our event still remains: building a new high-tier Special Premier event in Southern Europe that will attract lots of players from the nearby countries and possibly from all over the continent. Yeah, I know it could ring a bell, seeing that Prague Cup got cut (just temporarily, I hope) from the season schedule. But we're not trying to fill in a void: we expect this to be a small step in the right direction of having a European-wide tournament circuit in the nearest future. That's what we're longing for, and that's why international players are very important to us. Last year we had the biggest SPT in Europe (22J/28S/71M), with only Italian players and a small group of French. And we'll do way better this time.
Yes there will be trophies, among many other big prizes that will be featured in our main announcement next week. Cities-level CP structure is the minimum guaranteed, we're in negotiations with TPCi on that subject. But aside from that, you can bet the stakes (would those be points, prizes, or just fun) will be worth the travel.
The location is awesome. And when I say awesome, I mean 1200 square meters awesome. You'll see some photos when our site goes live, but while waiting you can take a look at what some other competitions usually hosted there: Main hall, Main hall 2 Main hall 3, The smallest of 5 other rooms
I know coming all the way down from Germany is quite demanding, but for those brave enough to face the challenge, I can assure they won't come back home disappointed.
I'll check back this thread every now and then, so feel free to ask any questions (even in German, I don't mind) or, if you prefer, write me an email at info@legasupernova.it. Then check back our site on December 10th!
P.S.
We already “informally” invited all the European Masters National Champions, and the French, Austrian and Danish one are very interested. As far as concerns the Portuguese Champion (a.k.a. Igor Costa a.k.a. 2012 Masters World Champion), he'll come for sure. ;)
