    Mich hat die Szene, in der dieses Zitat gesagt wurde, sehr beeindruckt. Edward, der schon so viel in seinem Leben verloren hat, ermutigt Rosé trotz ihres Verlusts weiterzuleben, und einen neuen Sinn im Leben zu finden. Besonders die reference auf seinen eigenen Verlust (u.a. sein Bein), muss Rosé einfach wachgeschüttelt haben.

    Da es in NGE für mich vor allem um Misshandlung geht (die Engel als Manifestation der Übergriffe und äußere Reflektion interner Konflikte, am besten sichtbar bei Arael, der gewaltsam in Asukas Bewusstsein eindringt; zusätzlich Vernachlässigung, Verletzung und wiederholte Traumatisierung der Protagonisten)... war dieses Zitat ziemlich mächtig.
    Tabris erlaubt niemandem, seine Seele zu zerstören - er erhält damit Kontrolle über sich selbst, was im starken Kontrast zur Machtlosigkeit aller anderen steht, welche immer wieder verletzt werden oder kurz vor der kompletten Zerstörung durch andere stehen - wodurch er unverwundbar wird, und fügt danach sogar noch hinzu:
